Owner and Founder of Largess Forestry, Matt is truly one of a kind. His extensive knowledge and passion of trees and nature are what fuels Largess Forestry's success. He often describes himself as Henry David Thoreau reborn. He is ‘The Voice of the Forest”.

Peter Largess

Peter “Pine Tree” Largess is one of our most dedicated foreman’s and leads his team through their best work. He has been climbing trees since he was two years old and is truly one of the great masters of emergency tree removal and skilled with crane work. Pete is a dedicated licensed Rhode Island arborist.

Ron LeDuc

A licensed Rhode Island Arborist and recently a new dad, Ron has been with Largess Forestry for over seven years and is one of the best foreman’s the company has ever had. He is professional, dedicated, and extremely thorough. He is also a very talented graphic designer and car enthusiast.

Jordanny Betances

As a graduate of Central Falls high school, he is our youngest foreman and a natural born leader.

JP Morgan

He retired from the University of Rhode Island as the greenhouse foreman after 30 years and is currently a professional landscape specialist. He heads the stump grinding and tree planting projects.

Dexter Ifill

Former all star football player from Central Falls, RI Dexter has become a high level tree climber in a short amount of time. He has potential to be a champion for his speed and agility in the tree tops.

He is a valued member of our team and attended the University of Rhode Island. He works flawlessly with his crew and is always ready for work.

Just like his brother, he is smart, quick, and always trying to learn. His personality is great to work with and has a wonderful work ethic.

Guy Lefebvre In Loving Memory ~ 1952-2016  Former executive director of the RI Tree Council and the Pawtuxet River Authority, Guy is a state licensed arborist and provides leadership for LF's development efforts and environmental science report writing. He is also president of the Voice of the Forest Alliance, a nonprofit organization located at the Mill at Shady Lea complex. He is a graduate of URI and Brown. Recently, he has been studying photography and graphic design at the RISD Continuing Education program. Guy made a huge impact to the success of Largess Forestry and The Voice of the Forest.
